AI Studio Interface & Canvas

Navigate the AI Studio DAG canvas, node palette, Operator selector, Design/Simulate/Trace modes, revision controls and viewport tools.

INTERFACE

Read the Studio before editing the Operator

AI Studio opens as a large graph workspace with the node palette on the left, an Operator selector and revision strip across the top, Design/Simulate/Trace controls, and the typed DAG canvas in the center. The UI is optimized for composing and inspecting a large operator graph without hiding the execution semantics behind forms.

Numbered interface map

  1. Node palette — Drag Roles, Skills, Context, Guardrails, Compliance, Behavior and Execution nodes onto the DAG canvas.
  2. Operator selector — Select the AI Operator profile/revision used by Studio. This is not the LLM model selector; provider/model configuration lives in STRATUM AI Administration.
  3. Mode and lifecycle controls — DESIGN edits the graph; SIMULATE evaluates it without infrastructure mutation; TRACE follows runtime flow. Save Draft, Publish and Activate manage the Operator revision lifecycle.
  4. Viewport controls — Zoom in/out or Fit the DAG so large operators remain navigable.
  5. DAG canvas — The working graph. Nodes expose typed input/output ports; edges carry compatible data forward through the operator.
OPERATOR REVISION

Select the Operator—not the model

The selector at the top chooses the active AI Operator profile. An Operator can have draft and published revisions, and the active revision determines the specialist Roles, Skills, connections, guardrails and execution behavior STRATUM AI uses.

The selected LLM/provider is configured separately. That separation lets you change or improve the underlying model without rebuilding the governance and operational graph every time.

DESIGN MODE

Edit a typed DAG

Drag nodes from the palette, connect compatible ports, move and group graph elements, enable grid snapping, and configure nodes from their context menu. The canvas can zoom far enough out to inspect the full flow and then zoom back into the specialist or policy stage being edited.
