Create a Datacenter
Create a datacenter with identity, classification, placement, and coordinates.
Create the workspace for a datacenter
Create a datacenter before placing systems or networks on the canvas. The datacenter identity, classification, placement, and location metadata become part of the Mission Planner context.
When the new datacenter opens, verify the initial network context before deploying switches and systems.
Network objects in System Arsenal
The network objects exposed by System Arsenal depend on the controller and Fabric configuration. Management (Cloud0) represents the host's pnet0 external or management path. Internal networks provide contained Layer-2 connectivity for systems inside STRATUM, while NAT network objects can provide an internal guest network with translated outbound connectivity where that mode is enabled.
Inter-Datacenter Network extends the network model across datacenter canvases. Within the same tenant, matching nonzero Inter-Datacenter IDs join the same logical Layer-2 network through the STRATUM Continuum. Use ID 0 to leave the object unbound, and follow the dedicated Inter-Datacenter Networks page for administrative enablement, Continuum requirements, export/import safety, and multi-site behavior.
Procedure
Create a new Datacenter
Enter the datacenter name and the classification, placement, and location values required by the environment, then create the datacenter.
Add Management (Cloud0) to the canvas
From System Arsenal, select Management (Cloud0) and add it to the datacenter. Management (Cloud0) represents pnet0—the host’s Physical Network 0. Add this network object when VMs, switches, or other canvas objects need a path to the host’s external/management network, then wire those objects to Cloud0 as needed.
The outcome you should see
Mission Planner switches into the new datacenter context. Management (Cloud0) can be added from System Arsenal when the topology needs external access through pnet0.
