Export & Import a Datacenter Package
Export an entire datacenter as a portable package and import it elsewhere.
Move the datacenter as a package
Datacenter export packages the datacenter definition with its topology and relationships so the environment can be moved, backed up, or imported elsewhere as a coherent unit.
Use Arsenal and lineage controls for versioned workload content; use the datacenter package when the object being moved is the datacenter and its wiring rather than a single VM image.
Procedure
Export Datacenter Package
Use the datacenter export action to create a portable package of the current datacenter definition, including its modeled topology and relationships.
The outcome you should see
The exported package can be imported as a complete datacenter representation with topology and relationships preserved.
Include workload content separately
A datacenter package exports topology and relationships, not the VM template images, ISOs, or guest disk changes made after deployment. To reproduce a configured datacenter, Promote stopped VMs that contain changes you want to preserve, export the resulting Arsenal image versions and any required ISOs, then import them alongside the datacenter. See Clone a Datacenter for the complete procedure.
